Found this in my diabetic forum on LJ.

I found it very interesting, see how in  my past (particularly in my teenage years),I had thought about doing this myself.  I never went down that road, because I always thought the damage to myself would be greater than being overweight.  I will say though, that before I was diagnosed as being a type one

Wow, I had never even heard of this before. It never ceases to amaze me the lengths that we women will go to for "beauty". How sad.
