This one takes me back. I first worked with this piece in high school. Our director was feeling out the choir at the start of the semester, to see what we could handle. This choir ain't half bad - though they do glaringly act out one of my personal pet peeves. I hate it when some of the choir don't use music when the rest of them do. To them it shows "hey, I memorized this, so I don't need music, aren't I good?" and the answer is yes, you are. Unfortunately, from the audience standpoint, it just looks like you forgot your folder that day, and makes you look like a tard. Just hold the folder and don't look at it. If you want to feel special, give yourself a gold star in memorization, and pin it to your forehead. It will give you the same visual effect of making you stand out from what is supposed to be a unified group, except then we might think it's for something special, as opposed to something stupid. :-)
