Nine days. There is so much about this place that I still don't know, though everyone is forthcoming with information. How can I fight something I know so little about? I have to return to Canea. There's no one but me there who figured it out, no one who can set everything in motion. The last in line. How did I get there from being just a shepherd apprentice... No matter. Kitai is there-- and crows, it hurts to be apart, I'd forgotten how much-- so I have to get back.
If it weren't for that. If it weren't for the fact that they rely on me, that they need me. There's no war here, and so far the curses have been more inconvenient than threatening. But no.

So, is this sudden increase in people normal, or should I start worrying about the availability of resources?
