There are five dorm buildings housing students of different ages. Elementary school, junior high school, high school, and university students each have their own buildings. (The staff also has their own building.) Each building is two floors. The boys' sides are separated from the girls' by a large common room.

I was told Kabaji is in H216...That's Gakuto's room... is it double occupancy?

Kabaji is temporarily in with Gakuto and...Fuji Yuuta, if I remember right. If you head over to oshiro-akira's journal, you'll get the in-game explanation. The meta explanation is that I didn't have enough damn foresight to add enough rooms, and saw a good opportunity for pissing off muses forced character interactions while the first floor got remodeled. Dorm assignments switch tomorrow as the second floor gets done.

Right now, everyone is tripling up in rooms meant to be singles. Atobe and Yagyuu are the only ones without a third right now.
