Just in time for Valentine's

Feb 09, 2010 13:48

Who: Gilbert Beilschmidt
What: Sitting in a table in the cafeteria, handing out fliers and being an awesome salesman.
Where: Cafeteria
When: Lunch
Why: Valentine's Day is almost here and the Newspaper Club is looking to help you with your Valentine's gift ideas. Chocolates? Roses? They've got 'em and more!

[Gilbert is currently handing out pink and red fliers as he sits in a table in the cafeteria during lunch. The fliers contain a list of items with prices for things you can pre-order from the Newspaper Club for Valentine's Day, like chocolates, roses, cakes, and cards. Business seems to be doing well so far. Gilbert's also taking orders, answering questions, and generally (sales) talking the money out of off his customers]

"...Yeah, I know. It's such bad luck that we couldn't auction off Antonio and Francis like we did last year. That was such an awesome idea, I know! But you know... You can always get them chocolates or cards. Antonio loves these chocolates here and Francis always loves receiving love notes from his admirers..."

"...Those are handmade chocolates, man. Don't knock 'em 'til you try 'em! Here, have a sample!... Good, right? So how many boxes can I count on from you?"

"...Are you sure you want this message on your card? I dunno man... I think it's a restraining order waiting to happen... But what am I saying?? You're the customer and the customer's always right! ...Man, but you're such a fucking psycho..."

"...Who says you need to have a boyfriend to enjoy Valentine's Day?? Get yourself flowers, chocolates, hell, get yourself a cake! You deserve it! ...Really? Well thanks, this'd really help us a lot. I'll also put you down for a rose, free of charge as a 'thank you' from me to you, Ninchen. I'll personally make sure you get your goodies on the 14th."
