GACKT - Comment + Last Song (CDTV - 2003)
I just have to say that I am obnoxiously excited over a donation that was made to the university's museum.
Part of my volunteering includes cataloging items and the head curator for the Asian department hid one of the sheets from me. When this item first arrived I almost had a heart attack. *o*
I'm an Asian art history major and actually being allowed to touch this before it was put into the display case made me overly giddy. x3
The museum has a pretty strict 'no photos allowed' policy but the curator said he was going to leave for five minutes and anything that happened during that time he was oblivious to. xD
While he was gone I went ahead and stole a few of photos of something else. A couple people have asked what kind of things I do translations for in the museum. Usually it's just short poems that are on painted wall scrolls, but on occasion I get fun things like this:
It's "Mukashi Banashi Bakemono Sugoroku" (basically a Japanese monster-style Chutes and Ladders game). This was one of the projects they gave to me last term. I just had to translate the small captions so that one of the art students could reproduce it onto a large canvas. That canvas is now laid out in a section of the museum's floor for people to play. (The thing was too big for me to get a decent photo of. :/)
Sometime I need to find somebody to play it with me. xD
Anywho...
