First of all, "Thunderstruck" at the beginning? Awesome. I love that they're keeping with the ACDC theme, more or less. Actually, you know, it's nice to have the classic rock back. I understand that due to budgetary reasons they had to cut back on getting licensed music, but the classic rock was always such a huge part of the show in earlier seasons and I really missed it. Sure it was really only in the 'previously' but still, it's nice.
Picking up right where everything left off was great (especially since I watched the season finale again just this morning)... rather than going "so many months later".
I also find myself rather happy to see Chuck again, I liked him. If I hadn't have been spoiled for it earlier I would've been saddened by the apparent 'loss' of Castiel.
...I assume that means technically Jimmy is dead now... Hm. Though the way Castiel returned to his vessel last season, one would assume we wouldn't have seen Jimmy anyway. Still, just something I think about.
I couldn't help but laugh at the creepy fangirl. It's sadly true too... I don't like to admit it, but this fandom can be a little bit much at times. They're a rabid bunch. She was pretty useless though 'cause really, why bother giving her the message to give the boys? If Chuck were being watched anyway, whoever was doing the watching would've heard him tell her... but whatever.
Bobby cutting Sammy out was so heart-wrenching. I don't blame people for hating on Sam right now, but still, it hurts a bit. I do like the very contrite Sam we're seeing so far, how he pretty much does whatever Dean says now, seemingly. I don't know if it's just his better, less awkward personality so far this season, but he even looks better. *shrug* I dunno.
Of course now I know that Bobby being so cruel to him was just because of him being possessed (maybe?), which I DID NOT see coming. Though I probably should have. The girl who played the Meg demon was cute and sassy. I like her little speech impediment. XD I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with Meg!Demon now.
Nick, the Lucifer suit, was an interesting bit of the episode. Very creepy sequences there. I find myself, well... to use the song title, sympathizing with the devil more than the angels. We're probably supposed to, but still, all Lucifer did was decide to not bow down to humans, which in his eyes are lesser beings. *Shrug* I'd do the same. The angels with their strict regime just doesn't do it for me. That and Zachariah is a douche. (Loved Dean's "Cram it with walnuts, ugly", which is actually a Simpsons quote). Right now I'm seeing the whole situation in an "Angel Sanctuary" way (one of my favourite manga series): Basically God is gone...somewhere, or asleep, something, and meanwhile the angel left in charge feels like taking over to the point where demons end up being more the 'good guys' and helping out humans.
Dean is Michael's 'angel condom'? Very awesome. I really want to see the archangels this season so despite the fact I don't want Dean to be a mindless puppet, I think it'd be interesting. Isn't Michael Lucifer's brother? I'm probably mixing up Angel Sanctuary and actual lore again... actually, I suppose technically all the angels are brothers (and sisters).
You know who would also be cool to see? The Four Horsemen. XD Just 'cause I was working on my own designs for them.
I guess my final point to touch on was that I was really hoping things could get back to normal for the boys, the way things were, but the ending of the episode really squashed that for me. I don't want that rift to stay there, to have a lot of those separate brother episodes like last season. We'll see how it goes.
So far though? So good.

Been playing "Guitar Hero 5" lately. Rented it from Blockbuster the other day but when I got home and went to go turn on my guitar... nothing happened. :| Batteries had died and we didn't have any fresh ones in the house. I had to raid the Wii-motes for the chargeables batteries and wait for them. ANYHOO, long story short, it's working now and I'm enjoying it. For the most part I seem to be spending far too much time just customizing my (4) characters. Lol. It's been so long since I've played one of those types of games though that I find the muscles in my forearms are killing me now. That and I'm noticing the reduced function in my lungs when I sing now. Can't sustain notes for very long at all. :[
Aaaaaand tomorrow, I've got an appointment with the Radiologist to go over the game plan for radiation.
What I'm more excited for tomorrow though? Marilyn Manson. Oh yes! Should be epic.
