Fic: Indent in the Sand. Series: These Words Between Us Characters: Rose Tyler, The Duplicate Tenth Doctor (Ten II/Rose) Spoilers: Journey's End Rating: G Summary: The conversation has to start somewhere.
Oh very nice. Despite loving Doctor and Rose I adore Ten 2 and Rose as they discover their new life together. My heart rejoices as I read the fics that has them work things out and be happy living that life that was destined for them.
Also, I like how you address several points and leftover questions from the episodes, including a changed Rose and the uneasiness that must exist between them.
I actually notice that a lot of people fail to address that to the Doctor, Rose would be a changed woman. She's moved on a long way from the innocent girl that was snatched away from him in Doomsday. I only vaugely touch on it at the beginning of this, but Rose knew that Donna would die, and she makes the choice of sending Donna to her ultimate 'death' in Turn Left. No one ever seems to cover that angle... (I'm going to btw)
Anyway, with that, yes there will be more. I'm writing loads at the moment, this will be a set of one shots while I work on my big big big big fic.
The Doctor shook his head as Jackie turned away. ‘That would make it the longest ten minutes, ever,’ he commented quietly, earning himself gentle whack on the arm from Rose. He smirked. ‘Sorry, Donna,’ he said by way of an explanation.
Rose shook her head. ‘You’ve always been rude,’ she reminded him, ‘don’t go blaming it on Donna.’
The Doctor grinned at her. ‘Oh well, worth a try,’ he said as the continued on into the future.
I think she would accept him a lot more easily than some people like to make out, cos it's sort of like regeneration, only not - she still gets her man.
