That's exactly when I believe the Doctor knew he was in love with Rose. Van Statten's vault. I love that in that episode, it's a Dalek who points it out, an enemy sworn to destruction, incapable of love, but even he can see how much the Doctor loves Rose.

And I hope they can build a new life together learning to do new things other tan TARDIS and Torchwood. Well done!

Yeah, that is def the falling in love episode from the Doctor's point of view I think. I'm not sure when Rose falls for him though, I think it's a bit more progressive. But she fell in love with the 10th Doctor very quickly, I would say around New Earth and Tooth and Claw.

I think she had to love Nine quite a bit-- I think it has a little to do with her father (although Nine was a right jerk to her about it). Definitely by the time Jack comes on the scene, she's more interested in the Doctor than the Captain, which, ahem, is saying something. That's why I believe she's so devastated by his regeneration, because she thinks she's lost the man she loved. New Earth, in my mind, is about her rediscovering him, that he's the same, with an added... how would Cassandra put it?... foxiness.

This was really good, I love their interaction and how open they're becoming with each other.

Oh, I really like. You've covered an area I hadn't thought about. And I'm with you -- there's more Rose than Donna in TenII.

Yeah, well I wanted to cover the area's that aren't usually looked at. I've noticed that no one deals with Turn Left at all in post-JE fics, and the fact that maybe the Doctor would be a little bit angry about what she did.

i thought you picked the perfect time for the Doctor to have fallen in love with Rose! i see SO many stories where he fell in love almost at first sight or in Cardiff, and i've always thought that though it was romantic, it wasn't realistic.

i agree that though he probably felt a lot for Rose early on, he wouldn't have thought of or realized it as love until 'Dalek' (i absolutely ADORE that eppie! it is hands down the best Dalek story in the new series)

good job!

Oh, I really do think he was in love with her by 'Dalek', but I will always mantain that I don't think the 9th Doctor did anything about it until she was about to die!!

I'm glad you enjoyed it.
