I ran the Seattle Marathon yesterday, finishing with a time of 4 hours, 8 minutes, and 42 seconds.

Congrats! I'd meant to email a pre-race "good luck" but lost track of time. Clearly, however, you did not. Go you. :)

Congrats! I like that you gave yourself permission to walk at mile 21. I flew over from Boston, and found Seattle had lots of hills. It was first marathon, and I was about an hour 20 behind you, but it's a great place to run. I'm glad you took the time to enjoy the beauty.

You know, I never would have thought I would be interested in a detailed account of running a marathon, but this was a really fun read. And congrats! Someday, I might run a 10k - a marathon is just mind-bogglingly impressive to me. :)
