Glad you're having such a great trip! When D and I were in Australia some years back, we visited the southwest corner of the continent, to stand on the rocks and watch the point where the Pacific and Indian oceans met. It was pretty awe-inspiring, and your description of Cape Reinga sounds a lot like it.
