Chapter 1

Reita sighed as he looked up at his new school.  It looked like a prison but he was sure all boarding schools felt that way.  The school was an old castle like place.  Huge and secluded in the wild forests of the mountain.  The building had other dormitories branching off of it, housing every child from ages of five to eighteen.  White Forest School for Boys.  ‘Right and they took all the pretty pictures for nothing.'  'Stupid mother.' Reita  watched as his mother stared in awe at the size of the school before pulling her boy, luggage and all into the front doors and to the main office.

It wasn’t surprising to Reita that he was here; it was bound to happen after the last fight in his school.  His third year and the kid decided to try to pick on him then, of course Reita would hit back.  So his mother decided on the last thing she could think of.  He was pulled away from society, placed in the middle of no where, with rich snotty brats surrounding him everywhere.  ‘Smart move mother.’  Reita chided in his head as his mother spoke to the headmaster.  He was shown where his room would be; a new building near the trees, his window would be facing the forest.  Happy to hear that he would be sharing the room alone, because there were only a few late students and minimal space, basically, he was the only one in his entire building.

As soon as he had took a step inside the room his mother bid him farewell, promising she would come get him for Christmas.  Reita knew she wouldn’t, he would be alone again just like all the other times.

The next day he was to attend his classes and get caught up to the other students.  It wasn’t hard, Reita was just lazy.  But since he didn’t have anything better to do, he did it.  He got stares from his new classmates, just like they did with probably every new kid.  His English class was boring as the teacher covered a topic he had already gone over, so he stared out the window.  The trees seemed calming, swaying gently in the wind, their leaves falling and dancing around, almost like a song.  The bell rang and everyone headed to lunch as Reita headed outside, not particularly hungry.  He settled himself against the trees; breathing in the air and feeling his hair rustle before plugging his ears with his head phones and turning the bass on loud.  He didn’t want to get back to class. Besides he only had two more.  Closing his eyes a little he leaned against the tree harder, slowly falling asleep.

“Come one Aoi; hurry up, before they catch us.”  The blonde ran back towards his companion, grabbing his arm to drag him faster.

“Uruha, I highly doubt their going to catch us now.”  Aoi pouted a little as the blonde continued to pull him to the tree line.

“You’re just upset because you’re missing your eye candy.”

“It’s your fault that I am.  Just because you didn’t do the assignment doesn’t mean you have to penalize me.”  Aoi said before sticking out his lip further before pulling the pierced side back into his mouth.

“Aoi, who’s that?”  Uruha pointed to a figure calmly leaning against the trees.  “Do you think he’s dead?  Uh Oh maybe we’ll be blamed because we skipped class.  What if that little Nightmare gang went too far?  Aoi what do we do, what do we do?”  The blonde began to bounce around his friend crazily before having a hand shoved over his mouth.

“He’s not dead, he’s sleeping you dimwit.”  Aoi walked towards the sleeping boy, noticing that he had never seen his before.  “Hey!”  He kicked the guys’ foot before waiting for a reply.  He ended up having to kick the guy again before he even moved.  The guy jerked up, headphones plopping out of his ears.

“Shit, I fell asleep.”  The boy looked around before completely noticing Aoi and Uruha hiding behind him.  His only response was “um”

“You’re new aren’t you?”  Aoi asked raising an eyebrow.  The boy nodded and stood up, looking as if he was expecting a fight.  “My names Aoi, the frightened rabbit is Uruha, and you are?”

“Reita.”  At the name Uruha had stumbled backwards, and then maneuvered around Aoi to stand right in the new comers face.

“Oh my God…REITA!”  Uruha then glommed the unexpecting man.  “Oh my god, I meant to write I really did, but then my mom stole your number and address out of my stuff and I couldn’t remember and then I tried and I tried but everything kept getting sent back and there was the time when I tried to visit but my mom locked me in the room, and I meant to see you I really wanted to tell you I was fine but Reita your here now…wait why are you here?  And you have blonde hair, when did that happen, and when did you become so strong, normally you would fall over when I jumped on you and what happened to the nose band, I though you were never gonna take it off, what happened.  Aww did little Akira finally come over his fear of ugliness?”

“Uru?”  The boy questioned after the long winded smack in the face.

“Well duh, silly who else would do this, unless you finally found a boyfriend, did you except the fact that you were at least bi as well or are you still in denial of seeing that one kid naked and liking it.  Oh and….”

“Uruha, your choking the poor man.”  Aoi pointed and Uruha looked down to see Reita’s face turn slightly red.

“Sorry.”  He climbed off the boy and settled himself at a comfortable distance.

“So you two know each other?”

“We were neighbors.”  Reita said looking at his old friend.

“But then I got into this really bad fight on the first day of high school and Reita took all the blame, then my mom didn’t want me to hang around him anymore so she put me in this school.”  Uruha looked Reita up and down.  “You grew.  Ah…Kai’s going to like you.  He’s a nice guy but he’s probably in class.  Hey when did you start going here?  Oh yeah and you have to meet Ruki too, that’s Aoi’s eye candy.  Ruki’s nice too.  Oh and how did you start getting so, grrr looking?”  Reita made a face at Uruha’s growling motions.  “Well anyway, you can tell me why you’re here and when you died your hair and why you changed and where’s thee nose band and what…”  Reita rolled his eyes up towards the sky while Uruha continued.  He noticed Aoi smiling at the blonde and then jerking his head to the side asking Reita to follow.  They walked deeper into the forest coming to an old shed as Uruha continued to list questions and people Reita should meet.

“Welcome to our hideout.  Most of the time it’s just Kai, Uruha and me here unless Uru decides to bring someone.  Your welcome here as well.”  Reita nodded in thanks then looked at his old friend.

“I will now answer your questions slowly, unless you want me to stop talking altogether so you can have more air to use.”  Uruha nodded and sat on a moth eaten couch pulling his friend down next to him as Aoi occupied a chair across from them.  Reita took a deep breath, knowing that what he was going to say was no match to the storm his friend had already talked up.  “Alright now.  After you left things seem to get worse as school.  I kept getting into fights all first year and kept being moved from one school to another.  Started hanging out with different crowds, one died my hair; the other taught me how to fight better.  Then during the second year I seemed to settle down better at my school and I didn’t really get into any fights.  This year and another fight happened and I got caught in it before the school kicked me out they mentioned this place and here I am.  The noseband is hiding in my suitcase because my mother threatened to rip my earrings out if I wore it.  I was going to put it on today and I woke up late so I didn’t have time.  My mom just abandoned me here.  Now it’s been two years and I see you’re still as girly as ever.”

“HEY!”  Uruha pouted as Aoi laughed.

“Ah…Reita you and I are going to be great friends.  I now have a companion that agrees.”  Aoi smiled at Reita, “I tried all of last year to ungirlify him and it didn't work."

“Doesn’t surprise me, he needs serious help to fix his problem.  He would still his mom’s clothes and make up when we were little.  I’m just glad he’s not a full blown cross dresser now.”

“He would die, even a cross dresser in and all boys school would be killed by the hormones running around.

“Hey, I’m still here.”

“Okay, okay, now who are these other people?”  Reita asked, feeling happy to have met his friend again.

“Okay, there’s Kai, he’s a book worm but he always forgets important things like his cell.  He normally skips with us, because he’s really smart and doesn’t need to be in class, but today he had to help the teacher so he couldn’t.  He can cook too, its always yummy.  But Kai’s really timid and doesn’t really like new people, so maybe you not wearing the noseband for a while is okay because it might scare him off.  So don’t even try it.”  Reita nodded vaguely.  “And then there’s Ruki.  He’s my roommate. He never skips, because he is a study addict.  Aoi likes going to class because of him.  Aoi won’t tell him that he likes him though.  Makes him blush too much.  Aoi and Kai share a room next to me and Ruki in the building near the pool.  How bout you?”

“I got my own room in the new building.”  Jaws slammed into the floor.

“Oh my God lucky!”

“Can I hang out with you?”

“I’ll trade room; I can’t live with Kai and his ‘Oh I know it’s around here somewhere’ anymore.”  Reita laughed and assured them both that he liked his room fine but didn’t mind sharing because it was really big.  He laughed at Aoi’s ‘fine, then I’ll send Kai to live with you,’ speech before they heard the bell ring across the grounds.

“Woot, last class of the day and I am in food heaven.”  Uruha jumped.  The three of them quickly made their way out of the shed and towards their own classes.  Reita smiled to himself as he walked, he now had two friends and possible others when he got to meet them.  So far his school life wasn’t turning out to be too bad.
