Winces as he realizes his sharp remarks from before are now being turned against him.

I have no interest in conquest madam except to free Cardassia from the Dominion. If anyone is bloodthristy it's them. They're responsible for the death of billions of lives and the enslavment of entire worlds; ours included. Though I'm sure that worm Weyoun left out that little detail in his interview with you.

And for the record my title wasn't taken from me because it was never mine to take. I was the Dominion's slave and when I broke away from their tyranny I gave it up so I could help free Cardassia from their grasp. I hardly believe that warrants me as a "bloodthirsty dictator". You want to know the true threat to your people? You need not look any further then to Weyoun's masters.

Pauses as he controls his temper calming down once more. He wants to argue against the remarks about him killing millions of Cardassian but he catches himself after all even if this was tabloid trash there was an ounce of truth behind the remark and speaking up ( ... )

Now, Legate, it seems to be your word against Weyoun's, and one of you hasn't threatened Earth in general and our magazine in particular yet. Whom would you believe, in our position?

But far be it from us to keep anyone who wants to talk to the public in order to clarify things from doing so. If you're up for an interview, we're always ready.

As for Macbeth, you can find the play in any database, I'm sure. Mr. Weyoun when contacting us showed a surprising familiarity with our literature and started his letter with a quote: "Macbeth doth murder sleep... and therefore, Macbeth shall sleep no more."

Madam they have threatened Earth and the Federation which represents them and other worlds.

Huffs

They won't threaten your magazine you'll just cease to exist one day and that will be it. Not that it would be such a loss.

smirks at the thought, before going serious once more.

I don't see how you wouldn't twist my words around to suit your own purposes if I was to agree to this interview. Not to mention asking me questions I really don't want to answer.

Sighs deeply.

Very well I accept your offer for an interview. After all even gossip mongers should have the right to hear the other side of the story.

He knows that she'll find a way to twist his words but if he careful with luck the damage won't be too great. He is Cardassian after all the usage of words is an art amongst his people and this is a challenge that even his wounded pride can't resist.

To her remarks concerning Macbeth he doesn't respond though it is obvious the quote has unnerved him. Perhaps because its too close a reminder of who he was and what he did...
