Lights were out for two days, we got power back this morning. My beautiful city, along with other affected areas, will get back on its feet. Ike won't stop us!

And yet most of Louisville will be without power for up to two weeks, and they were just hit with the remnants.

You have to understand that we had more than 2 million people without power. Just because I'm lucky enough to have water and electricity two days after the storm doesn't mean it's the same for everyone else. They're expecting power to be out for 2-4 weeks for some areas. I doubt those estimates are even realistic for Galveston or anywhere else.
