Canonmates

Guy Cecil:

Anise loves to give Guy a hard time, but only because she likes him. Though she might not be totally sincere about her romantic love for him, it's true that she adores Guy. He's someone she knows she can depend on when needed, and he's also the only real constant she's had in all her time at Landel's.

Tear Grants:

At first, Anise thought of Tear as a love rival, and the two had some difficulty seeing eye-to-eye, especially with Tear being a subordinate of Mohs, the man Anise hated and feared most. Over time, they became close, and Tear started to take on almost a big sister type role around Anise. She's sensitive to Anise's feelings and tends to be there for her when she needs support.

Natalia Luzu Kimlasca-Lanvaldear:

Though Anise despised Natalia when they first met on Auldrant, the two have become close friends over time. Anise doesn't mind opening up to Natalia once in a while, since the princess can be a sensitive and sympathetic listener. She also enjoys playing tricks on Natalia, taking advantage of her gullible nature for a few laughs.

Sync the Tempest:

Anise's feelings towards Sync are complicated. She hates him, but at the same time, she cares about him. He knows exactly how to get under her skin, and Anise doesn't know how to fight back against him. After the events at the Coliseum, Anise feels prepared to face the fact that Sync needs to be killed in order to be stopped, though she still feels guilty about coming to that conclusion, especially knowing what Ion might think of it.

Patients

Claude C. Kenni:

A young man from Earth who's become good friends with Guy. Claude was there for Anise when she was afraid she'd lost all of her dearest friends, and it's largely thanks to him that she was able to recover from such a horrible emotional shock. Anise feels immensely grateful to Claude for his support through those days. Thanking him for it directly seems a little embarrassing, not to mention inadequate, so she just tries to 'pay him back' with little acts of kindness whenever she can.

Ilia Silvestri:

A recent acquaintance of Anise's, who quickly became a good friend to her. Ilia's gentle, yet not at all patronizing attitude towards Anise makes her easy to relax around, and she has proven to be a smart and fun conversation partner on top of it. Furthermore, Ilia did her best to protect Anise when the two were attacked by a monster, and was even willing to accept her after learning about her betrayals back home. Anise already feels as though she can trust her.

Edgar Roni Figaro:

A handsome man who won Anise's affection through his kind and gentlemanly mannerisms. Anise strongly suspects that he might be a very wealthy man, but so far she doesn't have any conclusive proof of this. All the same, she's happy to flirt with him and shower him with praise and even offer genuine help. She really enjoys his company and does want him to stay safe and in good health. Anise worries about him sometimes, though. She thinks he might be too reckless for his own good.

Hope Estheim:

Though he's just an acquaintance of Anise's, Hope left an impression on Anise during their first meeting. To her, he looks vulnerable and helpless... precisely the sort of person that she has difficulty leaving alone. She wants to check on him again later, and to try to cheer him up some more in the future. He looks like he needs it.

Battler Ushiromiya:

Anise finds Battler charming and fun to be around, and likes that she can joke and flirt with him easily, even though they're only acquaintances. If they got to know each other, they could become good friends, but for now she thinks of Battler as someone she can relax around and cheer herself up with.

Miles Edgeworth:

Anise was initially drawn to Edgeworth since he looked like an easy teasing target. It turned out she was mostly right about that, though she also ended up sharing lots of information with him while she was at it. Despite her less-than-saintly motives, she genuinely hopes that the guy doesn't get in too much trouble. And since he seems pretty smart, she hopes that he might end up helping her in return one day.

Aidou Hanabusa:

At first, Aidou was princely and cool, and Anise had fun chatting and casually flirting with him. But over time, he became more and more withdrawn, and Anise became more and more aware of a less pleasant side to him. Now, she finds him to be a stupid spoiled brat who's probably going to get himself in trouble. There was also one point where he gave the impression of being seriously dangerous, but at the moment, Anise doesn't know what to think of that.

Detective Gumshoe:

A bumbling detective who came to Anise's rescue during the ambush on the night of the first Doyleton trip. He gave her a scare by suddenly grabbing her and carrying her away from danger, and he didn't seem that bright, so Anise was pretty hard on him. He did save her though, and she is grateful for it, even if she won't show it.

Alaric Saltzman:

Known to Anise only as "Rick," Alaric struck her as weirdly laid-back for a newcomer, but he wasn't at all unpleasant, and he showed some signs of being smart and cautious. He seemed like a nice guy overall, and Anise hopes that he stays safe - even though she accidentally gave him some bad advice on his first day.

L:

They only met briefly, but Anise probably won't forget his sickly-looking face soon. Her first impression of him is a mixture of being disturbed at how he could so easily accuse her of lying, and of being concerned over that sudden migraine attack he had. She never got his name.

Asuka Langley Soryu:

Anise isn't sure what she thinks of Asuka. The other girl seemed to doubt some of the things Anise said, but she was subtle enough that Anise couldn't be sure what parts of her story seemed unbelievable. She wasn't totally rude or anything though, so Anise finds her easily tolerable, but she's not sure if she likes her or not just yet.

Staff

Dr. Daedalus Yumeno:

The young, handsome doctor assigned to conduct Anise's therapy sessions. Though Anise is extremely suspicious of him as an employee of Landel's, she actually finds his company somewhat enjoyable. Talking with him has made her wonder whether the doctors of Landel's are truly enemies, or victims themselves.

Martin Landel:

The Head Doctor of Landel's Institute, and the man responsible for all the suffering Anise and her friends have gone through. She first saw his face in the Coliseum, when he forced her friends to fight each other to the death.

Former Patients

Fon Master Ion:

The young leader of the Order of Lorelei. Having spent every day with him for about two years, Anise grew close to the boy. She's developed strong feelings for him, and after betraying him back on Auldrant, she feels that she can never forgive herself. Anise is determined to protect Ion and to make up for her past crimes, but now that he's vanished from Landel's, she doesn't know how she can do that.

Luke fon Fabre:

Anise's friend from Auldrant, whom she claims to be in love with. Really, she's just in love with his money, but over time her feelings for him have gone from disinterest, to hatred, to acceptance and eventually genuine affection. Luke was the one who was always there for Anise whenever she was feeling weak and distraught, and she now finds comfort in his company.

Jade Curtiss:

Anise loves the Colonel's sense of humor, and enjoys spending time with him. He seems to pick up on her true feelings quickly, and it could be said that he understands her better than anyone does.

Emperor Peony Upala Malkuth IX:

Anise adores Peony. He's rich, he's handsome, he actually flirts back with her! What more could a girl want in a man? His politics and his honest, friendly demeanor also earn him some genuine respect from her. The only thing that bothers Anise about Peony is his recklessness, which kept her constantly worried whenever they traveled together at night.

Mori (Morinozuka Takashi):

A handsome, though unusually quiet older boy Anise met by chance, then later saw more often through the Cake Club. He's rich and gentlemanly: the perfect combination for a man in Anise's eyes. She'd love to get to know him better. On the more serious side, she feels she can identify with his role as a guardian for Honey, being a guardian herself. She has a bit of respect for him in that regard.

Honey (Haninozuka Mitsukuni):

A little kid who shares Anise's love for cute things. Anise partly hangs out with him just to get closer to his rich, eligible friends, although she does enjoy his company. He's fun to talk to, and can help to brighten a dark Landel's day. The only reason Anise hasn't pursued Honey himself is that she thinks he's much younger than she is.

Ami Mizuno:

Anise's former roommate: a friendly, quiet girl around the same age. The two have shared a room since Anise first arrived at Landel's. When Anise was taken for special counseling, Ami stood up and fought to protect her. When Ami was taken, however, Anise didn't fight back. She feels guilty about this, particularly because she hasn't seen Ami since the incident.

Asch the Bloody:

Even though he's abrasive and unfriendly towards her, Anise considers Asch an ally who's perfectly trustworthy... just not very dependable. She enjoys teasing him, and he makes it so easy, although that just causes him to try harder to ignore her.

Furude Rika:

Anise's second roommate, who was released from the institute. Since Rika is exceptionally young as far as patients go, Anise worries about her from time to time. Still, despite her age, Rika seems to be rather insightful in the ways that she understands and responds to Anise's feelings.

Rei Ayanami:

Anise's third roommate. She's quiet and sort of rigid in her mannerisms, so Anise doesn't find her to be very fun or engaging, but she wasn't entirely cold, either. Anise gets the feeling that she's a decent person, and maybe reliable too.

TK-622:

A man who offered Anise protection one night. Uncomfortable with calling a person by a number rather than a name, Anise calls him "Tem," a shortened version of his institute-appointed name. She's curious about his status as a clone, and wonders what sort of life he's led as a result of that. Other than that, she sees him as a model soldier... which means she finds him way too serious to be much fun. But she does respect his determination to help those weaker than him, so it's hard not to like the guy.

Xelloss:

While working with the Cooking Club, Anise was partnered with Xelloss multiple times. Though working with him was fun at times, she found him frustratingly useless a lot of the time, too. And his organ performance probably caused permanent damage to her ears. Jerk.

Nia:

A weird girl who befriended Ion and worked with them on Cooking Club assignments. Her naivete rivals even Ion's, and talking to her was often confusing and sometimes even frustrating for Anise. Nevertheless, she seemed like a good kid, and Ion liked her a lot, so Anise came to kinda-sorta like her too.

Celes Chere

From what Anise gathers from Celes, she seems to be a strong and smart woman, though not a terribly friendly person. Despite that, Celes tried to heal Anise when she was in trouble, and she went with her to search for their friends' bodies, so Anise gets the feeling that she's probably a decent person.

Leonard Shelby:

Rescued Anise during the zombie attack in Doyleton. He's hard to faze for the most part, but he completely freaked out when she used her artes in front of him. He's kind of weird in some ways, but Anise has some respect for him. He seems dependable to her.

Dist the Reaper:

Dist is something of a gray area for Anise. On the one hand, she wouldn't hesitate to beat him to a pulp if he got in her way again. But on the other, she really doesn't hate him. She's grateful for the modifications he made to Tokunaga, and she can't help but feel a little sorry for him for being a hopeless idiot. Of course, she generally won't mention those things to anyone, and continues to act like she never cared about him at all.

Yakushiji Tenzen:

There's no denying that Tenzen strikes an imposing figure and has a seriously scary-looking face, but Anise was quick to make an ally out of him when she found that they could help each other. He's way too serious, and Anise doesn't fully trust him, but his calm and businesslike attitude makes him easy to work with, at least.

Dias Flac

Anise knows very little about this man, having never had a chance to talk to him. But what she does know is that he's a friend of Guy and Claude's, and that he came with them to rescue Anise, putting his own life at risk, so he probably isn't a bad guy. Anise feels guilty about Dias' death, having been the bait that led Dias' group into the death trap in the basement.

Dahlia Hawthorne:

A young woman who's beautiful, delicate, innocent -- or at least, that's how she portrayed herself during their first few meetings. By pretending to be an oblivious hostage, Dahlia deliberately lured Anise into a trap set by Sync. Now that Anise knows about her heartless, deceitful nature, she despises the woman.
