[Nephry is on her way home from Good Spirits - later than usual, but she got into a conversation and, well, it's impolite to just get up and leave - and at first just sort of brushes over Anise. She's been seeing shadows of things all day.]

[galddigger]

[What were you doing at the bar, Nephry? And Anise - who has had a terrible return-from-kidnapping!day - looks more than relieved to see a familiar face. She walks right over.]

Nephry!

[and here's the double take. She just catches herself before saying something along the lines of 'Oh, you're real.']

Anise? [well, obviously] Anise! Are you all right?

[galddigger]

I'm fine; just way tired. I've been walking forever! [She knows she's whining. She doesn't care.]

[With the days getting warmer, staying out later was no trouble for this Fon Master. He'd been spending more time walking around the village lately; Anise was still missing and if something like that butterfly incident happened again when she returned... well. He wanted to be sure that didn't happen. Ion was heading back towards House 1 when a familiar voice caught his attention.]

[Anise turns at that voice, and is hard-pressed to keep the relieved smile from appearing on her face. Oh how we've missed you, bff.]

Hey, Ion. I'm back!

[Action]

[soreplaceable]

[He takes a step towards her, hesitating only for a moment before running up to her, the brightest of bright smiles spread across his face.]

Anise!! You're back...! [Of course he has to repeat what she just said first.] Are you alright? Did they hurt you anywhere?

[Action]

[galddigger]

[She shakes her head.] I'm mostly okay, just really tired. They didn't hurt me [this time], so I'm all right!

[She pauses.] But Tokunaga... [She shifts the plush in her arms around a bit, looking dejected. Then angry. Then she just sighs.]

[Action - placeholder until tomorrow]

[Though it's late, Dist is very much awake. He's in the kitchen when Anise arrives, rubbing his eyes wearily and drinking a very strong cup of coffee. He's been seeing rather disturbing images from the corner of his eye as of late and looks exhausted, and slightly pale.

Dist doesn't look up from staring aimlessly into his mug and thinking silently, even when the front door opens and closes and sounds of footsteps fill the house. He's quite distracted.]

[Is he distracted enough not to recognize the pitterpatter of Anise's footsteps, or her shrill distinct voice as she continues talking to Nephry while they enter the house?]

[For a moment, yes, but then the voices really sink in and he looks up, setting his mug down, and moving to peer out the kitchen curiously. Was she really back? Or...was he simply hearing things again?

She was back! And looked safe, too. Try as he might, the older man couldn't help but feel some relief wash over him. I mean, she was still a child, after all. A horrible, unholy little terror of a child, but still a child.]

[She turns at that, but not before jumping a little. Way to scare a kid, Dist. She glares, and pouts.]

And you're still here, huh? [No, Anise, no that's not going to help when you ask the cranky old man to fix your doll for you-]

[Like other people, Shiki's out and she's closing up her shop, but she's...really confused at the sight of Anise out this late. And what the hell happened to Tokunaga? Totally not cool. So she's going to call out to her, not even realizing that Anise might not even recognize her.]

Anise?

[galddigger]

[Well, she recognizes that voice, at least. But she can't seem to find its owner, so she'll be looking around the plaza, pretty confused.]

Shiki? Is that you?

[so_shik]

[She'll work on approaching her then.] Yeah, it's me. You okay?

[galddigger]

[She blinks.]

Shiki! Ah - what'd you do to your hair?

[Peony is lounging around in the living room and will be seeing Anise once she enters the house.]

[galddigger]

[Anise sees him too, the moment she enters.]

Your Majesty! I'm back~!

[enrappigtured]

[He jumps out of his seat and heads over to her, giving her a great big hug.]

Anise! We've missed you!

[And he just as quickly lets go.] ...Are you hurt?

[Whoops.]

[galddigger]

[Peony hugs! The best kind! Anise laughs and shakes her head.]

I'm fine, Your Majesty! Nothing to worry about~ Tokunaga has it really bad, though.
