In fact, she could be there now.  I've been underwater, partly work, mostly mothering, so I haven't spoken to her since Thursday, but she called me yesterday and left a message that she should get spung today.  I know she can't wait to see her kitties, among other things

Even though the next weeks/ months will be difficult, I'm sure she's glad to come home. I've/We've been thinking about her so much.
