A technical ARGH for pubs geeks
I maintain the FrameMaker datasheet templates in my little part of CorporateOverlord.
We design&sell products branded for LittleBrand1, LittleBrand2,.LittleBrand3, Littlebrand4, CorporateOverlord's UpstartBranch, and some outside customers--including CorporateOverlord itself.
We have one single-source datasheet template with conditions for all those different varieties so we can generate several versions from one sourcefile. Except after 5+ years we'd never used UpstartBranch condition in the same set as CorporateOverlord -- so last year when I was asked to streamline the templates, I got rid of UpstartBranch condition&chapterfile.
Can you see where this is going? A gold star for you, you're right! I just found out that I need to create a datasheet for UpstartBranch and CorporateOverlord itself. Same name, same content, same logo, but a different datasheet tracking#.
Grr. Argh.
