[Takato stares dully at the camera, a pair of square goggles cradled reverently in his hands.]

...Daisuke is gone.  His frequency isn't there anymore.  And when I went to his apartment all I could find were his goggles and his soccer ball.

I will be. I just... it's always sad to lose another friend here.

And I know Hikari is going to be upset, he was from her world, even if he was from her future.

[Kaname still just feels terrible for children sent here.] Is his world at least nicer than this place?

Much nicer. They've already defeated their greatest enemy there.

I will be. I know he's needed in his world. And he'll be with Veemon again now.

But it's still sad to see a friend go.

I know what you mean, Takato. We'll miss him, but he'll also be at home.

I think Hikari is going to be upset, though.

And... I don't understand. Why would he leave his goggles?

That's one way to think about it, I guess.

I suppose it is. And I know that when people go home they're safer and happier.

It's just sad to think of all the friends we'll probably never meet again.

He is safe now. Home where he may be needed.

[Looks at the strange things in Takato's hands.]

I know. I've watched a lot of friends leave this place. And I know he'll be safer at home.

[A rather interesting expression appears on Takato's face as he looks down at the goggles. It is somewhere in between awe and hopeless confusion.]

I don't think I could ever forget. These are Taichi's goggles.

No, I guess it's more like someone I know of. He was here before, but he was sent home almost immediately.
