Whew, so, there is a lot to catch up on. I got back from holiday on Saturday, but we had some big news as a family a few weeks ago, which explains my absences. I didn't really want to post about it until I knew what was happening, but we found out today, so I guess, here goes

Oh hun, I'm glad your dad is okay. And honestly, I know how you feel. Just after I moved over here my father had prostate cancer. Thankfully they caught it and removed it, but my mother didn't tell me until after he had his operation. I was shocked and upset naturally, and felt guilty for not being there, but prostate cancer treatments are pretty effective nowadays and I'm sure your dad will be fine. If you ever want to talk about it, let me know. *hugs*

Oh I remember you talking about that at your journal. My mum and dad told me that my dad had wondered whether to tell me and my brother, but thankfully my mum insisted that we were told. It must have been so shocking for you to not even have known. But thank you so much *hugs* It's good to you'll be there if I ever want someone to talk to.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that! Good to hear it's very treatable, though. I hope you were able to enjoy the holiday even with this sad news.

Thank you very much - it was a different holiday this year, what with everybody thoughts being preoccupied with this news, but we managed as best as we could. Just got to hope the treatment is effective now. But thank you anyway :)
