Election day tomorrow, and there's so damn much at stake. I'm hoping for an Obama win, but the polls are so close one way or the other and I'm preparing myself in the event that Romney actually becomes president. I'm worried that there will be enough undecided voters who will be swayed by this campaigner or that campaigner, and I wish that more voters would do their research before going into the polls. IMO, it's pretty obvious who is the better candidate, but I understand that my POC liberal attitudes aren't shared by everyone else. I mean, Obama is not perfect, by any means, but no one who wants to run for political office is. (With the possible exception of Jed Bartlet and he's a fictional character, and even he had his moments where he made mistakes. But anyway I'm beginning to ramble.)
I've voted by mail these past few elections, so I've done so again, and mailed my ballot out last week. Hopefully it will be one of the first votes counted after the polls close. I'm also keeping an eye out on how the vote goes on Prop 34, which is the elimination of the death penalty in California. I don't believe in the death penalty. I don't like how archaic its eye for an eye rhetoric is, and I don't like how we pump so much money into the system that supports Death Row. So here's hoping that we finally put an end to it.
I'm definitely struggling to fall into the right mindset to get through this week. I can't believe it's only Monday, and hopefully by this time tomorrow, we'll know whether Obama will have 4 more years or not.
