Hmmmmm

Sept 28th for the Lantern Festival ... [scrambles off to check calendar]

Looks like I'm in town for once!, I'd love to check out the venue, haven't managed to visit yet this summer, despite three aborted attempts to go :(

So if you dun mind someone you've never actually met in person before showing up, count me in!

Oooh, bro is going to Van? Wow. Did he have a job offer or is he heading out there first and looking for job once he gets out there?

Let me tell you first hand, the Chinese Lantern Festival is absolutely AWESOME and worth every penny. I should be posting lots of pretty pictures soon, hopefully this week. Everyone should make sure to see it if they have the chance.

He has an in at a company, but we'll see how that pans out...

Pictures! Yay! The reason I picked Thursday was to avoid people just so we could take more unhindered pictoral goodness XD

Even though I went on a Saturday during the CNE, I was still able to take nice shots of everything without having to really wait that long. Although I did have to do some risky balancing stuff to take the picture of the Chinese opera masks. ^^;

Apparently there is some photo contest being run by the Ming Pao newspaper. Though being a non-English newspaper, I am completely unable to navigate their website to find further details. T__T;

The Chinese Lantern Festival looks so cool from the outside but the ticket price has kept me out. What part of the city are you guys living in these days?

The ticket price is a bit steep, but I'm trying to see if I can get it for less than just $3 off. We shall see! Interested? :)

We're still up north, but this time in Markham.

Cool. Well you have my number, and so far my evenings are free.

Did you get a chance to hang with XIIIth before he took off?
