The Departed = Infernal Affairs1OMG. Vario and I just watched The Departed and it was practically scene by scene Infernal Affairs. Yes, it has some tweaks to localize it to America, but the main body of work? The key scenes and actions in the movie? Exactly the same. Never seen Infernal Affairs but saw The Departed over the weekend. I thought it was pretty good.

Friend of mine said they use the "good" ending. He said it was well done and a good translation... maybe because he wasn't persuaded by cute asian men?.. =P

LOL, so my review is biased because there's 'cute asian men' in it? XP
The guys are good looking, though not my type. I mean, Andy Lau is old, man ^^;;;

It was a good translation, but the original was more... ingenious... and believable in a real-time sense. You should really watch Infernal Affairs to compare :)
