After spending a year living in a place where my only window faces a common open hallway and a major street, I've come to heavily appreciate window Blinds. Their ability to both shade my tired head from the early bright sun as well as allow me to grab little peeks into the outside world on a particularly rainy day are quite lovely.
While I know the blinds used in dorm rooms are pretty droll and typically cheap, I'm always on the lookout for new design ideas to remember for when I move out of these shared living quarters and into something I can call home.
