Writing Exercise 2: Psyclock and Angel: Middle of the ocean. 7-7-06
“Why would Nightcrawler do something like this!?” Angel thought angrily. He and Betsy had been fighting like cats and dogs lately. Albeit very loudly for the past few hours, but that was still no reason to stick them out on an island in the middle of the god forsaken ocean with the tide getting higher every moment.
“This is all your fault you know!” Betsy growled from the beach, her toes sinking into the sand and surf. Her boots discarded by the rock that he was sitting on.
“My Fault!? My Fault!? How in the world is it my fault?!” Angel yelled back at her.
“If you don’t know me will enough by now to know what you did then I AM NOT going to tell you!” Betsy yelled back wanting him, daring him to ask her what was wrong.
“If you wont tell me then how am I supposed to know weather I need to say I’m sorry or not!” He yelled back at her. Angry with her for not being an adult and just telling him what was wrong.
“God Warren it’s not what you did it’s what you forgot!” Hurt replacing the anger that was there a moment before.
“All right then,” he said taking a step towards her. “What did I forget?” trying to calm his voice.
“You forgot the most important day of our lives together.” She said softly and then said even softer yet, “Our Anniversary.” Her shoulders slumped slightly as she tried harder to hide the hurt behind a mask of anger.
