What a nice review! I enjoyed the movie but I'm just thinking there are too much subplots, which sometimes bored me. But, it was still good enough to make me continue watching. I have a habit of watching a movie halfway and continue on the next day if it's too boring but didn't do so for this movie (maybe because it's Nino's. I am bias) .
The interrogation scene is my favorite scene. I closed my ears watching it because I was afraid to hear him screaming like that. But, it was the part that I love to replay. Torturing myself to hear him screaming.
ship Nino and Yuri so much <3 (mereka be2 chemistrynya sama sih ;v;) i'm kyaa-ing and smirking when they kiss yeah i notice the middle finger scene and had to rewaind it a bit (i thought i saw it wrong 😂)
Hello, this is a good review! You put them into words in a very good way 👍👍 (I am the type that hard to explain something so I think this post is cool)
I am a fan of crime movies and this movie has a unique plot, because usually a crime movie would have kinda "black or white" ending, but this movie serve different point of view about crimes and justice, sometimes there're times when bad things could remain in shadow unexposed. I think Okino is a symbol of how justice should be and Mogami is how the reality goes. This movie has a typical "Ningen Drama" conclusion instead of Crime or mystery.
All the casts was amazing! Music and sounds also on high level. I think because it's a book adaptation the sub-plot somehow feel too packed for 2 hours. But overall this movie deserve applauses. 👏
aww thank you! I just pour all of my thoughts out, that's all. XD
I do agree with your opinion; Okino is a symbol of how justice should be and Mogami is how the reality goes. my brain kept playing its music for some times idk why xDD
I agree with all your points. also did you mean Anger as Ikari (2016) - Tsumabuki Satoshi, Ayano Go, Suzu Hirose, Matsuyama Kenichi, etc? because if it's yes, I love that movie too! I love these kind of movies, I guess. Yeah, Kimura played it so well as Mogami. as I said on the post, the dramatic side of this movie had transferred into Mogami's braveness to kill someone. But yeah, since Mogami isn't used to kill people (and he works as 'justice' himself), his wavering expression was really good.
OMG YES. It's not 'who did it', but 'what will they do after the facts are thrown into their faces'. probably it's because it's from prosecutor's point of view, it's a fresh imagination.
Yeah, I meant Anger as Ikari! The tone of these movies is really something that not a lot of directors can capture, so everytime I stumble upon one it always leaves an impression.
Aahh. The cast is really just *muah* isn't it.
True, this movie gives us a new side to see from. What's great also is that although it's told from a prosecutor's point of view, it didn't go heavy on the legal terms and processes which was great!
YES! I watched the making of Ikari. the actors were really serious into it! Bukki even had to went /that/ far so he could potray a gay character well with Ayano Go. They stayed together in a hotel for weeks, went to gay bars and etc and etc! I'm glad Bukki got the award for it. <3
I was going to do a review about this movie on my own lj, and yet your ideas and points seem better than my own. Maybe I'm just bad at writing. XD My favorite scene is the interrogation scene too. It's not the first time I've seen Nino "lose it", but I think he can push himself even more. I doubt we've seen his limit, and I actually want to see it. This movie was also one of those "maybe not for everyone" kind of style because there's a lot of subtext I feel. Some things were hard for me to catch on, and it wasn't the political side for once. I'm also seeing more and more movies end the same way as this one did. No closure, nothing is solved. There may or may not be a sequel, but I don't think there will be just how the movie was by itself.
what? why? do it! write it D: you can't accuse yourself for being bad writer without actually try it. try to write it! I'll read it when you finish it :D
yeah, I believe Nino could do it better. I'm sure he'll gradually improve as a wonderful actor as the time goes. Let's see his improvement ;)
indeed it's not a movie that I could recommend it to everyone /that/ easily. it's not a movie you would watch for fun after all.
I did write it and you can read it here: https://pknumba1.livejournal.com/16621.html. There are a couple other dramas I wrote about, just as a heads up. Hope you like it. :)
