How to Deal is the kind of movie that makes me uncomfortable to watch, but I'll watch the whole thing anyways. And it's a total rip off of the Megan McCafferty books. No lie. It can't just be coincidental.

i thought How To Deal was based off those books. like, on purpose. like, that's how they advertised it... am i insane??

nope, it was based off some books, but not those. they thought about making them a movie, but decided not to (because apparently, it's already been done).

okay, i remember now. it's the sarah dessen or however her name is spelled books. two in particular. don't remember their titles...

okay, i'm a loser, and just googled sarah dessen and megan mccafferty. the books how to deal is based off of were totally written before miss mccafferty's books (1998 to her 2001). in fact, the movie deal was signed well before sloopy firsts was even published.
