Heroes Drabble - Peter and Sylar, "No Bad People"
A/N: I imagine this as being one of those conversations in the Wall, but it could be set anywhere that they're basically friendly.
“There’s a book. I’ve never read it, but I heard about it. It’s called, ‘There Are No Bad Dogs’.” Peter had Sylar’s attention. “The idea is that dogs are only bad because of their circumstances - what they’re rewarded for, what their stresses are and how people treat them.” Peter looked off into the distance. “Sometimes I think people are like that - ‘There Are No Bad People.’” He glanced at Sylar in time to see the man’s deep frown at being compared to a dog, despite Sylar’s hurried attempt to fix his face to polite interest. Peter chuckled. “Not fast enough.”
