Dream is attending to his personal papers as he waits for his independent study students, or others who might need to speak with him.

He should be in his office from fourth through seventh period.

Elizabeth knocked on the door with her Italian book.

Dream looked up from his papers and rose to answer the door. "Miss Weir, hello. How are your studies going?"

"Fairly well, thank you, Professor. I've not spent quite as much time on it over the last week, what with everything going on around here."

"That is hardly a surprise," Dream agrees. "Indeed, I would be slightly disturbed if you had been concentrating on your lessons."

He picks up his own copy of Elizabeth's Italian textbook.

"Please try reading the first paragraph in Italian on page 25 -- the one titled "A Weekend in the Country" -- aloud. I would like to hear your pronunciation thus far."

John knocked on the doorjamb before he hits the shop class. "Professor, you have a minute?"

Dream looks up and smiles absently at John. "Certainly, Mr. Connor. Come in."

John enters and sits in one of the seats. He's vaguely uneasy. "Just wanted to know the status of my independant study."

He's not bringing up the dreams, yet.

"I had forgotten that we discussed independent study. Remind me what language you wished to learn."
