There are 2 or 3 large holes in the rear window of my car. The dealer says the whole top has to be replaced.

Anyone want to guess the price tag on that???

$3000!!!

What a shitty last 12 hours this has been..ugh.

Ya :( Until last month, I've always had to park outdoors. Plastic windows and the California sun don't agree with eachother too well...it becomes brittle. Still, I think it should have lasted more than 2 years..but there isn't much I can do about it...

Ouch! But despite what the dealer is telling you, perhaps there is some less expensive repair option. I found this through Google:

As you can see, they claim that they are able to replace plastic rear windows on tops that are otherwise in good condition. I have no idea whether it's possible in your case (and what the savings would be, if any) but I guess it could be worth giving them a call.

Thanks :) I actually found a similar place that can replace just the plastic....still gonna cost me $700...but it's better than 3K!!

Just be glad that you still have a car.. on the Dec 16th.. someone set arson to my car with a rag in the gas tank.. *sigh*
