The Kiss, Jon/Sansa, T pinkimartiniFebruary 16 2013, 21:03:47 UTC
He didn’t feel the cold anymore and the pain that had overtaken his body was gone. Jon had floated out and away from the scene below. It was chaos all around him before but he felt free. His armor was gone and the need for heavy furs were not needed. He was drifting in the wind that had once bit into his skin but now felt like a gentle breeze. Would it take him back to Winterfell? It would be impossible to do anything of use or to help anyone in need since he had no body. Was he dead? No. Somewhere he could hear the faint beat of his heart. No, he was still alive…the will to live was strong

Ugh. This is so heartbreaking. (If Jon is dead in canon, I'm going to do violence to my Kindle!) I love that he goes to her and that he promises to return. He's her hero.

I saw this post on tumblr that just gutted me and thought - who would Jon look for if in fact he is dying? I feel like he would go to her because underneath it all, Sansa is the one he connected with (even if she wasn't kind to him). And I remembered that even when Jon was given the choice to go to Winterfell - he turned it down - but if he saw the actual danger - it would get him to take action.
Oh! I will put down the book for a week (just like I did when I read RW and ugly cried).
A Game of Debts, Jaime/Sansa, Tjust_a_dramFebruary 17 2013, 01:30:07 UTC
Jaime wakes to a lithe leg slung over his hip and firm breasts depressed against his chest. A hand snakes around his middle and a head of wavy red hair tucks itself under his chin

Good god, this hurt :(
This is a great exploration of how they might deal with the history between them and it's really what makes them so interesting - they could never really have a happy ending, could they? Uggggggggh the angst!

Oh gosh, I know. I hate torturing them, but then...that's sort of what they're all about as a pairing. I don't think they can have a traditional happy ending. Only...some peace, maybe? Hopefully? Or not. ;)

My favorite pairing! I read this last night and it stayed with me. I feel like these two have safe words when they are together but it's that fiery kind of love that goes beyond the norm. I love this.
The Secret Wolf, Mance/Sansa (because why not), PGlokiyanFebruary 17 2013, 03:41:43 UTC
It was all Ned Stark's fault, really, for being such a serious bastard. If he and the Night's Watch would just let his people be, Mance would not have to creep into Winterfell in the dead of night to teach him a lesson

Unexpected pairing but it really works and I love that Mance would steal into her room. I also love that he compares her to her mother and expects her to be a certain way but learns she isn't. And I laughed at the line "Besides, trying to steal the other one may prove to be more trouble than she was worth."

I would have never thought of this pairing! I like that Sansa shows herself to be a wolf and Mance can see in her a future leader. That's what I like about Sansa too. Her strengths aren't bold and brassy, but they're there and run deep.
Liberties, Bethany Ryswell/Roose Bolton, RsternflammendenFebruary 17 2013, 06:13:39 UTC
His hands are cold when they slip inside of her unlaced bodice, but Bethany does not mind such things. She has grown accustomed to the odd affections of her betrothed in the short time that they have been promised to each other, and finds what others might consider unpleasant to be almost endearing

Search No More, Stannis/Sansa, PG-13linndechirFebruary 17 2013, 19:06:26 UTC
It is always too cold for her taste in Stannis' study, the windows open even though winter is barely over. But the cold is hardly worse than it had been back home in Winterfell, so she simply steps closer to the fire and waits, her eyes darting over the documents on the large desk. She isn't snooping - the guards did not even hesitate to let her into the king's office in his absence, and he has been sharing more and more matters of politics with her. It seems that he has realised that having a queen with all the social graces he lacks is an unexpected advantage, and that all those social graces are not good for much if the queen does not know what the king needs from his lords
