Just to clarify, by 'minor house' do you mean any house that isn't Arryn/Baratheon/Greyjoy/Lannister/Martell/Stark/Targaryen/Tully/Tyrell, or are there others you'd consider not minor?

Exactly that. Any other house is fair game! (And so are those as long as the pairing is mixed. So for example you could write Lysa/Petyr, Brienne/Jaime, Dany/Jorah, Edmure/Roslin, Loras/Renly etc.)

How long can the fic be at the max? I am up to 9,000 words so far, and I think it is going to end up at about 12,000 or 13,000. Is that too long?
