Okay, tbh he is still not quite computing it! He asked her out as half a joke and he didn't expect her to accept! That said, Alice is a fun girl and he likes dating her. But he... also knows he will probably never talk to her about more serious stuff, which is fine! But it's not really conductive to a serious relationship, ever, and he knows that a lot of the stuff he went through... well, he's pretty happy to go with the flow, but he needs someone who also has gone through hardship which he could understand and vice versa! Because it makes him that much more invested and interested.
Which isn't to say he thinks Alice is UNINTERESTING, because she is... in a shallow, fun way. And Kazuki's fine with that, because he likes having something shallow and fun which distracts him from the more serious issues. But it's not like he needs it. :|b
VICE VERSA?? I feel like I am missing something and that might help.

Kazuki is a cute, fun guy and great distraction. She does like him and enjoy his company, but, I guess, she doesn't feel comfortable enough to make it any more serious? She doesn't want to talk about her trauma or emotional stuff with him because KAZUKI = FUN while TRAUMA MY EMOTIONAL DUMBNESS = NOT FUN. She hasn't realized that Kazuki has also probably been through a lot of trauma because of the thought process I mentioned earlier. She feels like she doesn't deserve to be with a seemingly normal guy like Kazuki and is expecting him to dump her sooner or later. Which she would be sad about, but it is expected and probably for the best. The relationship hasn't actually affected her other than a cheerful side thing for adorable funtimes.
IDK WHAT DO WE DO. WHAT ARE WE MISSING.

That said, Kazuki doesn't really realize Alice has any traumatic issues either because she is essentially a NO TRAUMA ZONE. He knows she has an inferiority complex? But to him that seems like something which can happen to anyone, so he's not really concerned about it. Unlike Alice, Kazuki doesn't have any issues about what he deserves and what he doesn't-- he's pretty straight forward and even (more than) a little entitled about what he likes and wants when he knows exactly what he wants. So he doesn't really realize Alice might think that too! He knows eventually he might dump her or vice versa, probably when he's starting to feel too much responsibility towards having a girlfriend and it becomes less fun, but for now he enjoys having a cute girl with his same sense of humor he can cuddle and kiss with. :X

No but really she just wants to spend time with Alice and going on dates with them is the best way to go about this lol. Rain is a huge derp with dates and Machika would be fine with bringing HER friends along, so she...doesn't see what the big deal would be, even though she knows that's not how it's supposed to work. Also she doesn't want Kazuki getting past kissing Alice on the cheek.
