Takanari
EVENTS: Yuuki, Konatsu, Kamui, Ruka! . . . Yes, those are events.
HOW IS HE?: Takanari has reached an okay point with Haine being gone. He'd really like to leave, but he also won't leave Shizumasa alone. . . And it seems like a lot of his friends are having separation anxiety. He's sort of realizing that if he leaves that's it for a lot of people that he does care a lot about, but he also knows that he doesn't want to be apart from Haine for much longer. Takanari has given up trying to play middle man on this, and everyone who knows him ought to be prepared for him to split once he can. It's just not something you tell someone up front, but he really needs to be home. He misses Haine and Touya and everyone else that he's given his life to. . . So, yeah. Really, it's a sensitive issue, and he's working up to it, so he doesn't ruin his new found peace.
On that, Yuuki has been wonderful for helping him cope with Haine being gone. He can talk and chat with her. So, while he is definitely not confusing the two, it's still nice to have someone similar around to hang with. Then, Konatsu came back which was a huge relief, because he would have been majorly crushed not to have even been able to say good-bye. So, whenever he ages back up, Takanari will punch him then hug him! Ruka is still Ruka which Takanari enjoys more and more. So, that's that. Oddly enough, Takanari isn't restless in the least even though he doesn't have a lot to do on his plate, but he might make an effort to organize something in camp soon. Who knows.
Also, Shizumasa will be tied to a chair and left out in the center of the camp soon.
DROP?: Ehhh, I've been debating it, but he's also the only nice person I have in my line-up! So, he has a lot of staying power with that. I don't want to say that his staying would hinge on Shinshi apps, but I would always love to see them, especially Touya.
Kino
EVENTS: Peace, Had feelings at Nakatsu.
HOW IS SHE?: Kino had a long streak of peace there! She was getting hot under the collar with being held in camp for as long as she has, but she spoke with some people in an anon thread and it confirmed that even if she's held in one place. . . She will never cease to be a traveler. (Read: No one will ever understand her.) So long as she's assure of that, Kino is really good. She's been meaning to bother some of the new kids, but camp never fails to have someone or something that Kino can sit and ponder the meaning of for many, many hours. She was also really pleased to move out of the Sunny. While she's grateful to Luffy to allowing her aboard, Kino isn't good at living with people for a long while. It feels too much like belonging. She still stops by for dinner every now and then, because the food and people are good. Kino does love her barn now, though. It's nostalgic, and she has fun flopping in hay every now and then.
That lasted for quite a few months until she had feelings, which weren't Big Feelings, but Kino doesn't respond to much of anything emotionally. So, while she's still. . . Annoyed that she can't suppress something that she shouldn't feel, Kino has dealt with enough times before to know to give it time and distance. Really, Kino knows she would wash her hands of Nakatsu as she was doing before, but she was attracted to him for a reason in her first stay. That, and if Kino has to actively suppress something, then she acknowledges that it's enough of an issue to be conscious rather than subconscious. Life is forever a complicated philosophical question that Kino will not have the answer to.
DROP?: Haha, no way. Kino always has a double-meaning to threads that always comes very easily, so I can sit and tweak with the deep questions lurking around, or just auto-pilot. She's always been the easiest and most natural thing to me. Also, that reapp still scares me, man.
Akito
EVENTS: Breaking bonds, everything ever.
HOW IS SHE?: I don't even. . . Akito really is a big, convoluted mess right now. She came to the end of the honeymoon period with the bonds breaking and is having to face reality in a big way. There are so many problems and issues that even if Akito sits down and tries to pick just one to work one. . . There's no way for her to separate it from the five million other ones. Even without that, nothing is easier than when it was with bonds. Akito really hoped that if she could just be herself, then she would have an easier time of everything that seemed to be coming, like dealing with outsiders and trying to be with Shigure. But it's really not working out that way, because she's still just as confused and even more lonely than she was. In as much as Akito is a product of her situation, she is still herself, so it's going to be a long process to separate what she wants to be from what she was made to be.
As far as people go. . . Akito is trying to talk with people and get around, because that's the least daunting task ahead of her, but she isn't too taken with many of the people she's coming across. Rather, she would prefer to go back to trolling around with the various Bad People of camp and avoiding real, human feelings, than the other way around. That, and Akito's expectation are so high that she could kill a person with them, so it's hard for her (or me) to pin down what would intrigue her. So, it's a continual process of experimentation that keeps coming up with no good results. Akito would really rather be unreachable as god rather than a be person right now.
Also, Momiji needs to go away forever.
DROP?: Cold, dead hands, etc.
Kumar
EVENTS: . . . ?
HOW IS HE?: . . . ??
DROP?: When Harold drops, but he's really just eating space, at the moment. I'm cool with it.
Ys
EVENTS: Owned by Rain, Realized he was lying to himself.
HOW IS HE?: Uhh, complicated! . . . Not that he ever isn't. Yuca continues to hurt himself with the truths he's been having to face lately. He really did enjoy Rain being young and untouched again, which only goes to show Yuca that he has made headway with Rain. . . And he did that under the wrong pretenses. Even with all of that, Yuca realized he won't leave Rain. While he has the ability to leave camp at any time, he can't bring himself to leave Rain behind. Even when he's done the best he can to make amends to Rain in canon, Yuca cannot leave Rain. (SUPER GAY!) So, he's stuck in a dead spot with what he ought to do next. It's tempting to start from square one by making Rain face immortality and give Yuca his answer to it, but it would be a course of action that would be now painful for Yuca. . . And yet Yuca has already done the worst he can, so he thinks, so there couldn't be any harm in making it worse from there, can it?
As for camp, Yuca hasn't realized it as a place or force very much. There are a lot of people around, but Yuca is becoming more and more lax with keeping up appearances, because there's not as much of a reason in such a dead space. Though, the facade is more of an easy way for Yuca to deal with people as necessary than him actually trying to fool anyone. Still, to an extent, Yuca would rather keep his situation on the down low. It's less to do with people going to pick him apart over it as it does some unlikely in camp, but he doesn't want to deal with people trying to make him feel better. He's been there, and he's done that, and he's tired of it.
DROP?: Nope, nope. I am having weird voice issues, but I just need to thumb over canon a few more times to pin it down. Le sigh, this crazy kid.
Okay, I wrote all that, so I'm allowed to do the Anything Meme. Thank you very much.
