post something about your first character (or the first character that you remember clearly). system, stats, backstory, development through the campaign, etc.
First: a whole slew of D&D fighter elves long forgotten "Second" First: Felix. Physical features likes Vincent on Beauty & the Beast. Alien. Was sent to earth as a baby and discovered by a martial arts sensei who raised him as a pacifast. I've been gaming with him now for something like 15 years, and he's changed a lot! It's been fighting with his animalistic instincts vs. his upbringing as a warrior pacifast.
Wandering down memory lane into the "forbidden" section, I dredge up the following memory.
It was one of two games, I can't remember which one started 1st.
1) a GURPS TMNT game, and I was a giant hedgehog brawler type. I remember killing some bad-ass polar-bear type by rolling a nat 20 on my bear-hug-pin-cushion-y attack. Eeeewww. I don't remember much else.
2) a Shadowrun game, I had just finished reading Gibson's "Neuromancer", and so I was trying to play a "Molly" character. I most vividly remember having to redo my character sheet because the character sketch I tried to draw at the bottom was possibly the lamest thing I've ever drawn. I think her name was Kyra Blaze, or something really stupid like that. So happy I'm not 13 anymore.
my first RPG character was in a vampire LARP. i his name was something mundane like Carl Stark or the like. he was a brujah ghoul with two levels of potence. i remember walking around stupidly in sunglasses all night, and a leather jacket with a skullcap. i played him for a month before he died due to a botched embrace.
My first character was made when I was in grade 6. It was in the old DC Heros system (the current Blood of Heros system). His name was "The Phantom" and his costume (and sort of back story) was based on Webber's Phantom of the Opera.
He could create illusions and walk through walls.
His story was that he was an ordinary co-op student, working in the Princess of Wales Theater, when a band of robbers came in and tried to steal the jewels and money from everyone in the audience. As chance would have it, the authentic mask of the original Phantom (the real person, not the original actor) was on loan to the theater from the Paris Opera House.
Somehow, my character managed to get a hold of the mask, put it on, and gained his illusion powers, because he was Christine's great-great-great grand child. (Hokey, but it worked.)
