Michigan renaissance festival countdown!

Okay, I'm really really excited! I love the Michigan renaissance festival. I'm aiming to go to the 'Highland Fling!' weekend on the 24th of August (which is two days before my birthday- speaking of which, I cannot believe I'll be 28 years old... doesn't feel like it). My second choice would be the 'Wonders of the World!' event which is September

http://www.michrenfest.com/themeweekends.html this is a list of their different theme weekends (Saturdays and Sundays). They are all very good. I like the 'highland fling' though because I love celtic stuff. Really, it just depends on what you are interested in.

A word of advice, save up your money. The ticket prices are as follows:

Adult: $20.95
Child (Ages 5-12): $11.95
Seniors (Ages 65+): $18.95
Students (with valid college ID): $18.95

The tickets might cost a bit, but considering you can stay there all day from 10am - 7pm, Rain or Shine, it's well worth it. Just bring a rain coat with you in case it pours!

They also have really cool things to buy and their food isn't bad.

Either way you are going to spend a lot of money.
