If you're in pain (even the good kind), definitely take a day or two off. You have to let your muscles heal before you can beat them up again or they'll never get stronger!

You know that playing DDR constantly at norma/medium or heavy is considered cardio right?

As a trainer, I tell my clients that I dont want to hear them say they've been doing 'alot of crunches'. Doing too many crunches actually strains the muscle big time and you will have no results.

Ideally, you should be training your Abs every other day, and doing no more than 25. You dont do 100 bicep curls so why would you do 100 ab crunches?

A clean diet will also aid in developing your abs.

I only work mine every other day for 5 mins, and thats what I tell my clients to do too.

Now, I'm not a trainer, but that logic does seem a bit screwy to me with the bicep curls/crunches comparison. When you're doing bicep curls you're using weight resistance, quite often a lot of weight resistance, which will tear the muscle down rather quickly. When you're doing crunches, since you are just using your own body weight, I see how one can do a lot more reps/sets. I mean, if a person only does 25 crunches a day, every other day, that's eventually going to stop yielding results because the muscle will easily become adapted to that and need more to stimulate it. Am I wrong here? However, I definitely agree with you on resting a day between.
