Despite almost getting killed recently, Gamlin seems fine and he's already at the simulator. Surprisingly enough, the unit he's training with is not a transforming fighter, but a good old Gespenst Mk II M. He's not faring too badly with it, taking down a lot of Lions and other assorted mooks before they finally overwhelm him. But that's nowhere

With that out of the way, Gamlin can focus on another incoming enemy wave - a swarm of Jovian Grasshoppers. He fires a Split Missile at them, because old habits die hard.
"Last mission, I lost my VF and I was forced to use an enemy unit. In case such a situation repeats itself, I want to be prepared."

As for me, I'm just trying to get a handle on using Exia's Avalanche equipment.

Gamlin interrupts the talk because an AI ganmen decided to take a shot at him. Unfortunately for the mook, it was in close quarters - so it got impaled on a Jet Magnum spike. And then exploded.
"Also, familiarity with your machine is an important factor. I will not be caught unaware again."
