General thoughts?

So, who's managed to get their hands on the new book and have a read? (Mine still haven't arrived yet :( )

If you've snagged a copy, what are you thoughts? Good? Bad? Indifferent?

I have got a copy, and read through it. I liked what I saw, but wished that they could have included more mutations. I am going to play with the city stat system and see if I like it. Sense I live in Winston-Salem, I am going to use Freedom Mall as my base from the Deathlands novel set in WInston_salem. I will post my results in my journal.

I've read about 150 pages so far, seems pretty good. Characters can get a little crazy with mutations, cybernetics, nanotech, etc. I'm writing up some PCs for a one off I want to run. Once I get them presentable I'll post them here.

The book says that either D20 Modern or the 3.5 PHB are needed. I've only read the 3.0 and 3.0 d&d rules, not the d20 Modern ones... is Gamma World still worth it for me ?

I posted this over at rpg.net. I just discovered this community so I thought I'd post it here too. Forgive me if you've read it before. It's an extension of a post I made in Bruce Baugh's LiveJournal in which I went over a bunch of stuff that I liked about GW d20. In this one I've expanded it to include stuff that I didn't like and my thoughts and emotions as I was reading it. It's pretty long so I'm going to have to split it up ( ... )
