Possible. Personally I think a more conceptual mix (what I've been toying around with for a game of late myself) may be a better option. Not so much Transhuman Space becomes GW, but a primarily transhuman game - basically all the players being humans who were ghosted into metal before the fall, and just now woke up. It would be a much different game, much more paranoid, arguibly making the world even more alien.
There's something about the image of the players scrapping for spare parts to replace their own, the harsh realities of them having all the tech knowhow but not being able to use it because A) they can't find anyone who has resources and trusts them and B) they don't even speak the language.
On the other hand, I could see some serious advantages towards using the Transhuman material. You'd have a good idea about just what was going on elsewhere in the system, or could figure it out, and such would make a cool addition to a GW game. After all, what happens when the Space people come back?

Unfortunately, I also have to tread some issues with some PCs, so I can't make it to dark.
