I am both pleased and surprised that Ford has managed to garner this level of attention from the machine politicians on the opposite side. While I do not see anything overtly racist in the ad, it does definitely show that Cornell West is right that "race matters" still in America ( Read more... )

I saw David Schnaufer play dulcimer only once, with Butch Baldasarri on mandolin at the Station Inn in Nashville. The man did things with the dulcimer that have never been done before or since. He was also continually seeking out and reviving old Appalachian instruments related to the dulcimer. My dad just gave him a "guitolin" only a few months ( Read more... )
