i find myself these past few days searching for my dad like tourists search for jesus in the holy lands. i'll stick my head in his bedroom to see if he's watching a western on tv while laying in bed smoking a cigarette. i wonder if he'll make a light flicker or a faucet run. it doesn't seem like reality with him not here, so i look for

Your dad will always be with you. When you turn that corner and expect to see him there, he will be there right beside you even before you turn that corner. He still will support you and you will still make him proud. He still loves you and will never leave you. You may never get over this, and that's ok, too.
