I don't, by any stretch of the imagination, update enough for the cross-linking of FB and LJ to mean anything to me; but I've seen nobody who likes the idea. Under what circs would someone actually want to do this, can anyone tell me? I thought part of the point of LJ was that it was as anonymous as one wanted it to be...

I can't think of a single good reason for anyone to want to cross-post a comment they've made on someone else's LJ. Far as I'm concerned, this is LJ being stupid yet again. I'm hoping they'll fix things soon, what with so many people complaining. At least I'd like to see a setting where you can make it so that nobody can cross-post a comment made on your personal LJ, no matter what that other person's settings are.
