What an amazing lady your grandmum sounds like. I think her and my grandma would get along great. I'll never forget the morning Gramma said to me, apropos of almost nothing, "What's a TiVo?" Then, when the iPads came out, she asked me if I was running out to get one. (I didn't) I think she was secretly hoping I had so she could see what all the fuss was about. :)

Amazing, isn't it, when you realize how much can happen in one person's lifetime? At my grandmum's we talked about the time when the streetlights ran on gas and they were lit every night and put out every morning by lantern-men running around with poles. "Yes, I remember that," she said. Cool. :)

And they're not even bitter about how fast the world's gone and gotten or anything, yanno? I do truly try to live my life in gramma's example.

I'm so glad that some of the air has been cleared between you and eve... It had to have been awkward in the past, trying hard to pretend to not notice or care what the other one was doing/thinking but always being aware of the tension.

And now fellow shieldmaidens.... sounds so mysterious and exotic. I picture a really cool costume to go along with THAT.

And what a cool idea for a town.... an interesting spot scavenger hunt! No wonder you love where you live so much! That would be fun to be on the organizing end of it to, I think.

FYI, I enjoyed reading the details of your new music, although I'm sure you already knew that ;) I like knowing what my sia is eating AND listening to...

I think it would still be awkward if Eve and I were alone, if for whatever reason we had to spend some time together in a room or something. We haven't really cleared much air, it's more a case of faking it for the sake of the bigger picture. I think. But I do give her credit for taking that initiative and making an effort to put me at ease in a setting where I was invited before her, a setting she knows I'm entitled to.

And yes, our costumes are way cool. :)
