You should feel pleased with yourself, that is a truly awesome gift. I know how you feel, too, about not being good at it--I usually receive way more thoughtful gifts than I feel like I give. :\ I suspect you're better at it than you think. :)

I have to say, too, that salad sounds like the smelliest salad possible. :-P I'm sure it was yummy, though.
