saa dance = da shit (in a good way haha)
its early. not even 9 yet and im already on lj. haha but surprisingly im not tired...at all. I kinda wish i didnt have to work though. I can think of several other things I'd rather be doing right about now, but I have to make up all of that money that has me completely and utterly broke. The only money i have is for gas...and I dont think thats even going to cover the whole week. We will see though. Everything I bought for fish week was well worth it. But neways, um yeah...definitely came home at 1 am this morning. My mom was like "you should have called before you left blah blah" and i was like um ok im going to bed now. Shes kind of annoying me right now bc she thinks that i didnt have fun at the dance because I didnt talk about it last night...or this morning. Um im sorry that I actually had a great time and just because I didnt run home and tell you every single thing that happened at the dance, then that means I didnt enjoy myself. In actuality, this SAA dance was the best one out of all of the four years that I've went. They played good music (with a black dj), and the teachers (as far as I know) were a lil more lenient as far as interrupting people's dancing.
But before I get to the actual dance...went to St. Agnes to pick up Enegeh, her fish Lindsay, and Soha *mine*. Enegeh and her fish were already there but Soha wasnt so I was glad I wasnt holding everybody up (even though I was only like 5 minutes late). Then Soha came and we went over to CiCi's which we were successfully one of the first people there. (with Enegeh's help bc i had no clue where i was going) then other people started to show and we went in and got our food. We pushed like 6 tables together and that was JUST enough room for like all of the 20 something people that showed up *aka our table and their fish*. So we ate and then at like 8:30 we decided to leave and go to the dance. Once we got there, I was pretty impressed with the show up, and stayed the whole time...I actually danced too..more than I usually do. Then afterwards, I waited with enegeh until her mom showed and then I went home. So it was definitely a good night.
Memories
- Me thinking we were lost on the way to CiCi's and having to pull into a parking lot, just to end up being right across the street from it and having to go across three lanes of traffic to get into the turning lane. It was funny though bc my car went down the parking lot slant really fast (and it was kind of steep) and everyone was like "ahh!" lol (thats an example of aggressive houston driving)
- Moving all of the tables together at CiCi's (i feel bad for the people that had to put them back in the right place lol)
- Taking pictures at the table and in the restroom haha and then when nhi kept trying to take our pictures in the restroom, the door kept opening and people kept looking inside to see what we were doing
- Celia waiting for me to finish all of my pizza and Soha eating faster than me (what was up with that!? haha) even though i was taking pics of everyone so it slowed me down
- Dancing in the restroom, and in the parking lot of CiCi's lol
- Us leaving CiCis and me making a really sharp turn, thinking Enegeh told me to (when she didnt) and the fish in the back going "Weee!!!" and Enegeh screaming LMAO...that was worse than the time at the stop sign haha omg it was so funny though bc i scared the crap outta everyone in the car and i was laughing about it all the way to the dance...but i think the freshmen actually thought it was fun when i did that
- busting the music really loud in the car...that was a fun car ride
- The dance actually having really good music- ok so during the "i like big butts" song..i was dancing and all of a sudden this guy comes up from behind me and slams his butt against mine and starts dancing with me and i was thinking to myself "ouch...that hurt but um ok ill dance" haha and then tia was like lets go dance with the black guys so we went up to them and asked them to dance and they were like "um ok" so we were dancing...except they didnt know how to dance so mine pretty much just stood there and moved is arms and i was like err ok im leaving haha and then during lose control i was dancing so hard i guess that my earring broke and i had a sharp pain in my side so i was out for the following like 2 songs haha and then id dance for thirty seconds and would be like ok im tired haha but neways i danced i didnt care it was the last orientation dance so i was like might as well have as much fun as possible. lol ok and what was up with the black guys standing around us watching us dance..but just standing there it was kind of creepy
- people trying to slow dance to "imagine" by a perfect circle...um no haha but when a slow song came on we got into a group and started singing lol
- mike jones who mike jones haha..ok i was excited when that came on
- that guy coming up behind amaka and dancing behind her and she didnt even notice haha
- My fish now thinks I buy stuff from SPECS lol
- getting to see melissa!
- enegeh and i stealing everyones water
- i learned that i hate the bunny hop but love the cha cha song
it was great that everyone danced and had a great time! and now my fingers are starting to hurt so i will end it here lol
