It's a good time. Another of my favorite museums is the Air & Space Annex out by Dulles. So very cool.

I'm so glad to hear that! A lot of it got wiped out by Hurricane Ivan in 2004, but I'm sure most of it has been rebuilt by now.

I absolutely love DC. I've been to tons of other cities but none of them compare to DC. I don't go as much anymore, because they closed down the American History Museum for two years for renovations. Supposedly they'll finish their project on the Star Spangled Banner while they're at it, too. I hope so.

I also hope they bring back the pendulum. :)

Oh, yeah, I think the last time I went (June '06) was right before they shut it down.

My first time going was in 2004, so I missed the pendulum altogether. I Googled it, however, and found this, sadly:

"The Foucault pendulum which was displayed for many years in the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History was removed in late 1998 to make room for the Star-Spangled Banner Preservation Project and there are no current plans to reinstall it."
