Break me off a piece of that apple sauce.

So if I was five or six, there would be tears and quite possibly hysterics over getting this for Christmas. A life-size (well, the size of a miniature horse) pony that whinnies and snorts AND EATS CARROTS AND YOU CAN RIDE IT. Rob and I passed it last night in Target, and I'm pretty sure I am the only 27-year-old in history to squeal over ( Read more... )

YES! The one at ours was a little... tweaked. Her lower jaw flapped around when she tried to chew the carrot and she whinnied with her mouth closed. But she liked it when I brushed her.

I was yelling at everyone who came up to bat last night. "Oh, great, David Ortiz. You little bitch. Oh, you got out on a pop fly. You gonna argue that call, bitch?" I kind of sounded like the Spirit of Troof guy (don't listen to him at work).

I'm pretty sure I am the only 27-year-old in history to squeal over Butterscotch the Pony and insist on trying out the carrot-feeding and mane-brushing.

Only 27 year old maybe, but I am oldr than you and did the same thing on saturday. I would have LOST MY MIND over that thing when I was little. I had a stuffed pony almost that size that I begged for my mom to get me from a street vendor, and was so overjoyed with it. But you couldn't even sit on it. Much less FEED IT CARROTS.

It's so funny that everyone's coming forward with their Butterscotch confessions.

My mom used to work at the church bookstore, and she'd bring home catalogues for me to look at (I LOVED catalogues back in the day - still do). One of them was Avanti, which made these pricey stuffed animals. They had huge life-sized (for real) horses of all different kinds, and I pined like no other for one of the baby horses. Considering they were like $600 back in 1984, I never got one and probably never will. Sigh.

That reminds me of Brian Fellows from SNL... "That goat has devil eyes! Take him away!"

I hope you're feeling better today. Days off lounging around until 1:30pm should be required - at least once a month. Even if you're feeling puney, it's good for the soul! :)

Enjoy your weekend! I love getting out the fall/winter clothes. Except that means lots of shopping for me because none of my clothes fit anymore. D'oh.

I'm so making chili this weekend. You have me craving it. <3

I do love me some lazy days... although I feel pressured to get a bunch of stuff done after I wake up and realize how much of the day I've missed!

Ooh, shopping. :) I wish I had an excuse!

Did you end up making chili? I wanted to make it again, but I didn't want to get burnt out. I ended up making chicken broccoli curry casserole and artichoke dip instead.

I know how you feel about lazy days. We had a big one yesterday - didn't get out of our PJs until after 4pm. Sundays like that are the best. :) We had a busy night though because I felt like we had to make up for being lazy. Haha.

Nope, we didn't make chili. We did talk about it though! Hopefully we can do that one night this weekend. :)
