Skype is a wonderful invention, and i want to acclaim the esteemed entity on the planet that invented it. It allows me to speak with and see Anna on my computer screen and its very comforting

I only passed by here on the off chance and I see you're back!
You'd rather "veg" out, eh? Not much chance of that, I see...!
As for praying to God.... both good and bad things happen to people who pray. Good and bad things happen to people who don't pray. Life is unpredictable and uncertain. Go figure.

"Go figure" If i understand your insinuation correctly i feel that you're saying that prayers are pointless because good and bad things happen to good and bad people? Maybe you are right. I'm still going to begin an "Explore" course at the Zion Christian Centre tomorrow anyway.

I try to see things logically. IF the universe is basically a hologram... if the world that we perceive to be physical can be affected by conscious thoughts.... then maybe prayer can induce genuine change.
At the very least, focussing one's mind in a prayer or a meditative state could encourage positive change in one's life.
However, I ask you - what is the best evidence, ever, to show that prayers can be "answered"? That they lead to miraculous change that cannot be explained by chance, perception or positive action?
As I say, shit things still happen to Christians, Krishnas and Muslims!! And great things happen to atheists. And so on.

Alpha in Leamington came and went, they recommended this Zion place for somewhere local with a similar vibe. I remain unconverted but i know that Christians are are onto Something. A far higher proportion of Christians (at least the ones i've met and i'm sure Chris would back me up) are more in touch with humanity and its needs than folks without any religion in their lives.
Went to the New Inn in Blackheath. Met up with the happy couples (Mark&Laura, Jez&Rachel). Not such a great evening for me personally but Chris and i had a good natter when we got back which made it worthwhile. And you?
Stopped in, mate. I had enjoyed a few Oaksome ales on Fri night and I still have a bit of a cold, so I just didn't feel bothered about going out in the cold for beer!
