Photos of my room! And my new whiteboard, and the library just outside my room. These are previews that link to Photoshack because I am lazy.
The library; a big open room-like thing at the top of the stairs where we keep all our books. The two shelves on the right hand side and the first shelf on the left are mine. The futon mattress is up here for guests; it would be awesome if we had a frame for it, but the movers lost it, and in the last year we haven't replaced it. WHOOPS.
The view into my room from the door. Window with black-out curtains, ceiling fan, Discworld map on the wall, giant ass bed. I used to sleep on the futon and then the futon mattress; the bed was my first major upgrade.
Immediately to the left of the door is the center of my existence, my computer desk. I retained Suzy's shitty old desktop along with my netbook so for a while this was MEGADESK but I found I didn't get as much use out of two monitors as I expected. I can switch the one between the two of them pretty easily, as well as the wireless keyboard and mouse. Disorganized desk organizer also visible.
The view behind the door. The bookshelf actually in my room has no books on it; it mainly takes the place of the drawers my desk doesn't have. Top shelf crayons, markers and pens, second shelf Chinoiserie, third shelf cards, dice, toys and divinations, bottom shelf mixed media. Note George's hat hanging behind the door with my Dunder-Mifflin cap, and my closet in the peripheral.
Eventually the white board needs to find a new home; probably over my desk. But I don't handle the power tools.
The latest acquisition--I built those shelves myself! I am a badass. They are holding up my TV. It used to be part of MEGADESK but I had to pick between staying close to the PC or close to the cable. I never use the cable, but it's still better this way. Eventually my shows will be back from hiatus I guess.
Anyway, I am completely psyched about having a dresser finally. This also gives me a place to empty my pockets (keys, wallet, sunglasses) when I come in without cluttering up my desk. Inside the dresser: new pants and shorts purchased today, and shirts I don't have enough hangers for.
